An AJ Hartman Fulcrum 14 to replace the rear wing that I bought from Amazon with Hilton Honors points. Hoping I can pickup a couple of MPH on the straights.

Fat Cat Stage 3 suspension, Vorshlag plates, Turner rear shock mounts, springs, and Rogue rear weight jackers.

I've spent more on upgrades this year than I have for the past 10 years!

Four engines in five years? How does that even happen?

Bad luck and terrible engine builders during the pandemic.

1. Cracked Cylinder 2 Wall
2. Spun Rod Bearings (after paying a shop to do bearings)
3. Missing Crank Position Ring
4. Spun Rod and Main Bearings and ate the crank after 3k miles

This is my S3R not my NA car.

It's okay now but I am way more invested in this thing than I wanted to be.

Hopefully soon I can buy a C6 ZR1 to make up for this nightmare lol

I was looking at Partee racing and thinking I may go that way if I blow up my S54, but honestly for that price I think I'd rather just put an S65 in it.

I'd wait on them since the first rounds of their S62s and S54's have only started to see some mileage.

At this point in time, i don't trust a single BMW engine builder lol

Damn man, that is terrible, I hope the shop(s) did something to make it "right", and hopefully going forward there will be more legit builder options.

As of now, if I need an engine I plan on sourcing the best known good unopened used engine I can.

Truth be told if I loose an engine on my M3 or M6 either it will be out of commission for a year or more until I could swing for a replacement or I would need to sell one of the two which I can't see ever wanting to do.

Agreed. Needs more time to determine consistency of quality. It is all in the machine work if you ask me. Otherwise it is assembly. I'm not sure who does their machine work.

I lived in Wichita which has a lot of aerospace. The machine shops therr are miles better than anything in Hoiston which is mostly car related work. IMO...the key is to find someplace that does aerospace or industrial work. Automotive gets the bottom of the barrel work with bottom of the barrel pricing.

2026 looking good for my 04 manual. Refinished style 67 wheels. Recaro Sportster CS seats and Eventuri Hybrid Airbox. All parts in garage for rear subframe refresh to include Roque Engineering lower rear camber arms and SyncroDesign works spherical RTAB.
All DIY wrenching spring 2026 in prep for a road trip to The Smokies from Minneapolis. Gonna be epic!
