    Battery tender install location?

Anyone install a battery tender hookup on their car? I’ve been taking the battery compartment cover off and opening the trunk to use my ctek tender. I’d like to install the tender adapter so I don’t need to remove the battery cover and keep the trunk open. Ideally just have an external quick release for ease of use. Any recommendations?

Many guys use the tow hook hole on the rear bumper as the quick disconnect slot and I like this as an additiion.

What do you guys use? Something good for both charging and tendering at reasonable price? Any good? https://www.amazon.com/NOCO-GENIUS5-Fully-Automatic-Temperature-Compensation/dp/B07W8KJH44

Don't go making things easy when a complex side project awaits. Car guy cards revoked

You should get a quick disconnect cable as its nice not to have to fool with the alligator clamps.

I just use the alligator clips and a folded up towel to keep the hood off the wires when closed. And of course, AMMO chargeguard

EDIT: Sorry for rotated pic, not sure why that happens.

You guys are still using those CTEK chargers, huh?

The Antigravity ones have a digital display... No big deal.

I have one of these dropped into the tray above the battery, works nicely, even comes with a little template to cut the plastic.

I used to do this but got annoyed that I couldn’t drop the hood to the half-engaged click because of the positive terminal cover.

discovered that if you pull up, the positive terminal cover on the inside of the smugglers box just slides off exposing a terminal. Rigged up a quick disconnect on that and the negative terminal. I just toss the end into the smugglers box and close the hood when driving, but let it come out near headlight with hood closed on charger.

I have a ctek with the quick disconnect hooked up in the trunk. I just gently close the trunk and it closes fine with the cables hanging out. I only do this for off-site winter storage though. At home, I just leave the trunk open when leaving town or something and it's on the charger.

I connected mine to the battery in the back and just ran the interconnect under the rear tray. There's enough of a gap to run it under the trunk tray and I connect it to the charger through the trunk, the rubber seal has enough give without pinching the cable. I just noticed I usually have the protective cap on the end of the interior cable, need to find it.
