    What sensor is this?

While replacing the fender liners, I came across a round sensor with wires. there is a round knockout that you have to remove for the sensor in the driver side liner. The other sensor is the ambient air temp sensor. Does anyone know what the round one is for? Sorry, no tapertalk app so I can’t upload pics. THANKS

I think I know what you are talking about, it is located in the brake duct area behind the fog light, correct ? Cant recall what it is , I want to say it is temp related also but not imperative since I noticed the wire on mine was completely deteriorated and no issues lol

Correct on location. The previous owner was running oversized tires with quite a drop and the liners were broken and held together with wire. a grip of wire and that round sensor was zip tied behind the duct and fog light. The new liner on the driver side has 2 sensor locations that point at the pavement. One spot is the ambient air sensor that is long and skinny coned shape. The other is flat and round that had a circular “knockout” on the liner that had to be removed so the sensor could snap in. I looked through realOEM. but couldn’t find it on any of the schematics.

THANKS!! That’s what it looked like. Wonder if it works? Guess it doesn’t matter as the car isn’t driven in the winter
