EAS is highly reputable and has worked on my others cars for years. A friend of mine owns an E46 M3 and after having SMG troubles, shipped the car to EAS for a manual swap. No issues, straight forward, solid work.

The SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox) was released in 2001 and was pretty high-tech in its day.
