On upshift the RPM flares, the car feels like it shifts into the next gear but doesn’t disengage the clutch fast enough, causing the flare. This only happens while shifting, and the car is fine once finally in gear. Car has 56K miles, 2004 M3. Pump generates 70 bar of pressure and accumulator holds 33 bar of prepressure. There is no lights, the only issues in the SMG system is the 4th gear minimum window size too small error during adaption, but I solved it by unbolting the two bolts on the back of the gear actuator, allowing the adaption to pass. I plan on changing the compression springs and rod joint to solve the adaption error. But I don’t know if that’s what’s causing my clutch slip, wanted to see if anyone could help point me in the right direction to solve this.

disengaged clutch = no power transfering to the wheels. You meant not engage clutch fast enough.Originally posted by Wparr View PostOn upshift the RPM flares, the car feels like it shifts into the next gear but doesn’t disengage the clutch fast enough, causing the flare. .
maybe worn or oiled clutch.
