    Rouge ASP question

I have some RE articulating spring perches I would like to use with TCK springs but I have to dial the perches down quite a bit for proper ride height.

My fear is that the adjustment shaft protrudes down so far it may touch the axle if the control arm were to deflect enough.

I feel like there is sufficient space between the shaft/axle but am just paranoid. I just wondered if anyone else runs these with 6.5" springs and has tracked the car with no issue.

I tried 5.5" springs (same rate, 500lb) and they contacted the underside of the vehicle going over railroad tracks.

Take the spring and sway bar out, bump the shock out and see if it touches by rotating the spring arm. Now, with a spring installed and actual force on this arm, plus with a rubber inner bushing I doubt there is ever much of a pivoting moment on that arm. Also if that is your planned ride height measure the spring length (lower to upper perch) at full bump to make sure your spring won't block out at full bump. From my understanding, 6.5 is pretty long for articulating perches.

I have the same perches with 700lb TCK springs. The adjuster hex is inside of the hole.

Are you using the centering cups on top of the spring? Remove those.

The TCK springs I have do not allow the use of the centering cups so I am just using the OEM rubber pads up there.

Are your springs the same length, 6.5" ?

I still have to adjust ride height but just eyeballing it thats about were the adjusters will end up.

I used the cups yesterday when I tried the Eibach springs (5.5" 500lb) and those were cracked when the ASP's contacted them.

Definitely remove the OEM rubber pad(s)

I think they are all 6.5"...whatever TC Kline sells.
