Reinstalled nav unit, added Bluebus - no radio mode

So, long story hopefully made short. Recently purchased an '03 M3 that had factory navigation. PO removed navigation and added Eonon head unit. I have removed the Eonon, sourced working navigation head unit and installed. I also installed a Bluebus module for BT connectivity. Well, the navigation unit powered on and everything works EXCEPT the radio. The radio module does not even show up on the nav screen and thus all radio function buttons (i.e mode) do nothing.

Where to start? Is the Harmon Kardon radio module dead? If so, how to test (we check fuses). Is the subwoofer amplifier dead? If so, how to test. I was hoping to avoid being a parts replacer without knowing what is causing the issue.

Could my installation of the Bluebus be wrong and killing the Ibus signals? My next step would be to disconnect the Bluebus and reconnect the CD Changer and see what happens.

Are the small coax connections necessary? All are disconnect at the trunk modules.

    TIA.

In the trunk, did you plug the large connector back into the BM53 radio tuner module?

For the aftermarket headunits in Nav equipped cars, they require a 6 meter long extension cable that extends the main harness connector from the trunk to the front head unit area. In the trunk, you should be able to disconnect the extension cable and plug it back into the BM53.

Thanks for the response. Yes, the original electrical connector is plugged into the radio tuner/module. The aftermarket wire harness has been removed completely.

Where the connector plugs into the BM53 radio tuner, there is a 10A fuse. Check to see if that fuse is blown. If not, then the BM53 module might be faulty. They commonly go bad due to age.

Good idea, I will do that this evening and report back with my findings.
