    Junkyard door glass removal

Was at the junkyard yesterday and wanted to pull the rear passenger window glass for my touring (Windows are flat topped, so different than sedan glass and rarer). Each window was lowered just slightly. I got the regulator free, but I was not able to lower the glass and therefore unable to access the screw that links the regulator slide to the glass.

My question: can I use a small battery to provide enough juice to the motor so that I can lower the glass? I did a similar thing with the power seats, bringing in a motorcycle battery to move the power seat forward so I could access the seat bolts.

Just unbolt the motor from the regulator.

Yes, remove the motor off, then use a nose-pliers to turn the cable spool to lower the glass down.

That makes sense. Much less of a hassle too. Thank you gentlemen.
