    Installing OEM Satellite Radio and Bluetooth **Introduction**


    I just purchased a 2004 M3. It was a 1 owner rig with 55k miles. I was hoping to get some information on installing a XM radio module. I've done very limited research was hoping to get feedback on the complexity of the install. The vehicle has the OEM Navigation head unit. Also, Curious how hard it is to install an OEM Bluetooth to the vehicle. Any feedback would be great! I'm excited to have the car, I just need to drive it.

    Congrats on the car.

    Can't help you on the XM, but many of us are running BlueBus for bluetooth on the OEM head unit.

      Just get a Bluebus unit for $200 and be done with it.

      XM modules are tough to come by and need a decent amount of fettling with to work right (I have one for a non Nav car).

      OEM Bluetooth is for phone calls only and because it's so old, I don't think it can connect with modern phones anymore.
