Rebuild Tired KW V2's Or Move On To Something New?

They were super popular pre-2010 for the E46 M3. Same for GC & TcKline. After, there was a big hype on forums for KW but my experience with various KW from V1 to Clubsport is that they leaks or even crack due to poor welds on piggyback.Originally posted by Obioban View Post
Better quality, better dynamically.
And they function at a better ride height (closer to stock).
but people like to go looooooow.
Saw a lot of Bilstein being winter driven here with tons of salt on road, struts/shocks bodies would have tons of corrosion but still 100% functionnal.
If no track days, I would go PSS10 otherwise I prefer Ohlins R&TSend me a pm for Gt4 Composites carbon fiber CSL parts

I'd lead towards Ohlins Road and Track with the 3DM spacers. I really liked mine, but moved to something track-focused (MCS). They are rebuildable and upgradeable to something more track dedicated should you want to go in that direction. For whatever reason though they're having supply chain issues (issues with Brembo takeover?) and rebuild lead times are really long. Also agree on the previous point about Ground Control; haven't had much luck historically with getting questions answered (Rogue too, not to pile on), even basic ones; no issues with Barry at 3DM for Ohlins, MCS, or Bimmerworld.

I highly recommend Nitrons. They are located locally in Murrieta, California and their suspension is extremely capable. They are every bit as good as MCS. A friend of mine went from MCS to Nitron and his car (one of rhe fastest E92 M3s in the US) got faster. I love mine. At only $800 for a full rebuild, they can't be beat.Last edited by EthanolTurbo; 05-18-2026, 12:10 PM.Instagram: @logicalconclusion
