    Vacuum pump output specs

Need a bit of a sanity check here. I've long since thought my E46 lacks a bit of assistance on the brake pedal, but figured I was just used to modern, hyper-boosted brakes.

Did a bit of digging today. The pump is generating 15-17inHg when the car's warmed up and the idle has settled.

Is this high enough? I can't find any tech specs or tolerances for what it should be.

What vacuum pump? I am not aware of any E46, much less the M3, that uses a vacuum pump. What model do you have? LH or RH drive?

RH drive. Most, if not all E46s use them iirc.

I was going off the description of P/N 11617836744 "Vacuum Control Sucking Jet Pump".

Assuming I'm mistaken, then there's only assistance from the manifold vacuum?

It's a standard vacuum assist brake booster. The pump is a passive jet-pump, the same kind is used for transferring the fuel from left tank to the right tank.
