BIMMERLINK phone app

I helped a friend to replace her Mini Cooper battery and it needed setup/registration (it needs to know the new batt capacity and charging rate so the alternator charging controller can optimize the charging rate to maximize batt life I think). So they bought the app and wanted me to have it installed on my phone.

Anyone know if it's useful for E46 in addition to INPA , OBDFusion and other free tools I already have?

Sadly, at least last time I tried, useless for e46.

Basically works with iDrive and later cars.

Pretty great app-- I wish there was an e46/e39 equivalent.
