Eisenmann Race 76mm Stock Diffuser Fitment

Recently installed Eisenmann Race 76mm muffler on my M3 along with a Supersprint resonated section 2 x-pipe. Overall, the fitment is great and the Eisenmann single piece muffler box tucks nicely into the muffler cavity without any overhang below. I'm probably overthinking this but I noticed that the top of the inner 76mm tips just touch the stock diffuser. I'm assuming that this is the case as the tips are larger than the factory muffler's. Should I be worried about the heat melting the diffuser? The Eisenmann design does have a much smaller diameter outlet that enters into the tips so I'm assuming that they may not get quite as hot as a single diameter design. Thanks!

It'll need to be adjusted down to avoid melting the diffuser or scuffing the muffler tips.

Stacking washers was something I used to do to get the up/down fitment just right.

The Rouge Engineering muffler mounts have the ability to run multiple spacers if need be but if you use all 3 R.E mounts you will have a bit of NVH.

I currently run one RE mount/spacer on the P.S and my muffler now sits really well.

I have a very similar setup, Eisenman sport w/ 76mm tips and SS x-pipe unresonated and I have plenty of space between the top of the tips and the OE diffuser, about equal to the side to side clearance. In fact, I personally would prefer it to be a tad closer, but this is where is lays This is with stock hangers all the way around. I'd recommend loosening all the bolts and pushing up at the connection point, to tip the tips downward, then retighten.

You can adjust the angle/height of the tips depending how you oriented the flanges between section 2 and muffler and adjusting how you tighten the bolts. Use gaskets as a pivot point
