No video on widescreen sat nav display

My Sat Nav system has decided not to display any video. The fan from the TV module runs constantly.

I tried fuses 7 and 41 before i heard the TV module fan in the trunk. No change.

I removed the white and blue plugs from the TV module and the fan stopped. Should the Sat Nav still display without the TV module connected?

I tried a spare Mk.4 Sat Nav computer and then a different video module but still nothing on the display.

It sounds like the DVD Nav computer in the trunk is faulty.

I was hoping it was that but i swapped it out for a spare but no joy. So i thought i would swap the display out but that didn't fix it either.

It's been a long time since i played around with the Sat Nav and TV kit.

What i had forgotten, is that the video path is broken if the TV module is removed from the circuit or gives up as in this case or perhaps it was just not switching or pulling the video signals down.

To test for this you can connect the DVD sat Nav Computer directly to the Blue plug of the TV module. You shoul then be greeted by the Normal display as i was.

On the plus side i have verified my spare display and NAV Computer work ok.

My old non-Digital TV module might yet return to help.
