Quad exhaust is the only thing I can think of.

I don't know much about what exhausts people use on swapped cars, but I think that's basically it. I haven't heard my car from the outside, but I think it sounds pretty good and the SS X pipe, plus the H pipe of the CPI rasp terminator does some magic with combining/canceling out bad things.

On the E36 side of things, if their exhaust of choice doesn't run some sort of x-pipe, or Y pipe at the header or muffler, which seems to be common, then I'm guessing the pulses are combined inside the muffler itself. Where's a cutaway of our stock muffler seems to keep the pipes separate based on some crappy google images I found.
