My car sat overnight and i switched the ignition on as I was working on it in order to turn the steering wheel. The ignition was on for about a minute. I was surprised that as I was working in the cold engine bay, my arm
bumped up against the aux. coolant pump which was hot ~200 F i’d estimate. Is there a heating element in the pump? The pump motor itself was not hot, it was the unit behind it that was hot.
Is this normal?
