I'm losing my mind going round and round RealOEM looking for A/C parts for a refresh.

That's the heater core for cabin heat... If it's not leaking I wouldn't bother touching it. That is, unless you are pulling the heater box out of the dash anyways.

It's the heater core belongs to the air condition system for heating the cabin, not the AC for cooling, and not part of the coolant system even though it uses the hoot coolant for the job.

The heater core is definitely part of the coolant system and affects the performance of the cooling system. I've driven in weather cold enough where running the heat at full blast will cause the car not to get up to operating temp.

They rarely fail but it would be work flushing it out. It is a low point so they can accumulate sludge especially if you live in a hotter climate and don't run the heat often.
