Audible click from the rear when stopping/slowing down

Over the last few weeks the car developed an audible click. When I get on the breaks and slow down, mostly near a stop. It seems to mostly occur during gentle braking. I tried to determine if it's transmission related maybe diff. It's just a "click". Maybe brake pads shifting? e-brake?

If anyone experienced anything similar, please let me know.

My other car had the brake pad shifting click, but it only happened when first applying the brakes in a new direction (driver vs reverse). Doesn’t seem like your situation.

I agree, but I have had (track-focused) pads click on first application of the brake regardless of shifting direction.

E-brake is not related.
if the caliper is behind the wheel hub then pads shifting; if caliper is front of hub then no shifting happened to cause the click.

I have standard brake calipers, also I changed pads maybe 6 months ago on the rears and all was quite until a few weeks back. Anything else besides pads that could be shifting? Rear links, maybe subframe?

By chance were your guide pin bushing loose? Spit balling the idea of the rubber is worn and there be some wiggle
room.

By chance were your guide pin bushing loose? Spit balling the idea of the rubber is worn and there be some wiggle
room.

During braking the caliper force doesn't push on the guide pin. The whole caliper is pushing on the bolted down steel frame, not on the guide pin.
