. But I get it, different strokes.

You go 70mm or 76mm?

I have the 70mm tips. I find the drone completely tolerable, the sunbeam section 1 changed that. It was 20X worse when it was a catted section 1 and just the sunbeam muffler. You can hear the difference in this clip. The drone stems from running a catalytic converter. I don’t know the science behind how the sound frequencies resonate, but the conclusion I came to
through self-discovery. The drone was so unbearable without the section 1 I refused to run the sunbeam muffler with cats.

It transforms the traditional sound of an S54. In my review I compare how the stock exhaust, my SCZA muffler, CSL Headers + SZCA Muffler, CSL Headers + Sunbeam Section 3 & CSL Headers + Sunbeam Section 1 & 3 compare in sound. All of this of course was filmed in Mexico. Full video on my YouTube. #e46m3 #m3 #bmwm3 #sunbeammotorsports #bmw"

I got my 76mm section 3 on with the section 1 on too now! Drone is completely fine for me too. I can listen to my music pretty clearly and really does not affect me on longer drives. Is the 70mm slightly higher pitched?

Yes, exactly the smaller tips makes a higher pitch. At highway speeds cruising it’s not loud or harsh.

I've never heard an S54 that sounds bad swapped into another car, so it's 100% something with the stock configuration. I have a theory about letting the banks mix somewhere in the exhaust path based on the limited number of exhausts I've seen on swapped cars.

it seems I may be onto something. at roughly 18min he talks about how in their experience on any 6cyl you have to merge the exhaust together.
