E46 fueling issue?

I have been having this issue recently when my car hits half tank or little below half the car will shake hard like almost misfire and it shuts off, and when I fill it up it’s normal, I replaced the the fuel filter but I’m thinking it’s maybe the fuel pump or the float?

Use INPA or the cluster secrete display mode to show the L and R tanks fuel volume when the total is less than 3/4, as this doesn't help with a full tank. If L is more than R then the issue is a worn weak fuel pump running slow, or a leaking pumping as Cubieman said.
