Anyone else have this issue before? Limp mode code clearance

So I took my M3 to car week last month from LA. The car drove fine the entire trip up and I planned to display the car at Legends of the Autobahn.

The morning of the event I start the car and every light that could be yellow is on. For the next two hours I’m struggling with the car and I get to O’reilly’s nearby where I get the OBDII scanned where it pops up that the Throttle Body Position Sensor is causing a fault which resulted in the car going into limp mode. I read that clearing the codes might temporarily relieve the issue but that it would likely come back.

I end up buying a scan tool which can clear the codes and the car ran issue free aside from the ABS/Brake light turning yellow during the drive.

i wonder, the day before I drove the car in a bumpy grass lot to park, could that have caused an issue with the sensor? Has anyone else dealt with something that crippled the car randomly for a couple hours to then run issue free? I bought a spare sensor (they’ve gotten stupid expensive) just incase something like this happens again…

If I remember correctly this can be tire pressure issues or there are two pressure sensors on the brake master cylinder and one or both are on there way out (meaning their measured values are not in agreement). Long time ago that I experienced this, however. Going from memory.
