    CSL King Pin Specs?

Does anybody know the exact spec differences between the standard and CSL king pins? I about to replace my wheel bearings and considering upgrading to them. For those who have them, is it worth it?

1 degree extra negative camber IIRC.

I believe Ian has them, or at least he looked into them extensively.
      Youtube DIYs and more

All jobs done as diy - clutch, rod bearings, rear subframe rebush, vanos, headers, cooling, suspension, etc.

PM for help in NorCal. Have a lot of specialty tools - vanos, pilot bearing puller, bushing press kit, valve adjustment, fcab, wheel bearing, engine support bar, etc.

From FCP. I have no experience with the unit though...

        Product Information

Referred to as a kingpin, Increase the front track of your E46 M3 by 10mm with this OEM M3 CSL steering knuckle

This steering knuckle will bolt into place on your E46 M3 and increase the track width by 10mm over the stock steering knuckle/stub axle.

It was proven that the track width is the same. CSL gets a wider track from the wheel offsets. The CSL kingpin adds more negative camber (around 1 deg) at the knuckle instead of the strut mount which negatively affects the Steering Angle Inclination.

Is there any caster changes on CSL kingpins?

Does that then cause more rubbing/fitment issues with coilovers and wheel/tire combos?

In theory it might improve clearance at the fender side and reduce it at the shock side. In practice, I don't think 1 degree will be the make or break factor.

It does bring the wheel closer to the shock by a few mm but nothing major. I'm still able to run 18x10 ET30 front wheels on PSS10.

How much front camber are you running? At least -3 I imagine?

The way these work is actually pretty nuts. See when you turn the wheel normally very hard you do lose some caster so the steering feels different and worse. CSL kingpins increase the track so that when you turn the wheel hard you don't lose as much caster.

                      Or so I think

I’m running 219M wheels - 18-8.5 and ET29 with PSS10 and they rub like crazy on the inner fender liner.
