    Mysterious Resonance/Rattle - Going Crazy

I've been trying everything I can think of to track down a frustrating resonance like rattle that seems to have started a few hundred miles after installing a new exhaust set up. The previous fabspeed headers are retained with a CPI/BM rasp terminator, supersprint resonated xpipe and Eisenmann race mufflers. There was an annoying metallic rattle on cold starts that seems to have gone away but a similar like sound has returned when the exhaust warms up in the 2700rpm range. I've replaced all exhaust hangers and thoroughly have checked that the headers/exhaust clear all heat shielding. Does this potentially sound like a failing resonator (wouldn't rule out manufacturing defect causing premature failure)?

I've attached a video clip showcasing the sound. Oddly enough, replacing engine & trans mounts seems to make it more prominent on cold start idle. It’s definitely related to thermal expansion.

Did you replace your eng/trans mounts with OEM or poly/solid mounts? I’ve got similar symptoms but I’m not on OEM mounts (can’t remember exactly which ones I have on). I just figured it’s just the nature of running harder mounts.

Yes! OE BMW for the engine mounts (I’ve heard that Corteco has been hit or miss) and rogue rubber mounts for transmission.
