    Head gasket help

When I pulled the engine from my car the cylinder walls had some deep scratches. I'd like to bore the engine to fit 87.5 mm wiseco pistons and keep the compression as close to stock as possible. However, I'm looking at JE/Athena cut ring gaskets and though they are labeled as 87.5 mm bore, Langracing has them listed as appropriate for 87mm pistons. I've found mention of using cut ring gaskets with 87.5 mm high compression pistons but I'm confused if the gasket needs to be slightly larger than the bore or if it's mislabeled on their site.

Best to call Lang to clarify and they can steer you in the right direction.
    Youtube DIYs and more

All jobs done as diy - clutch, rod bearings, rear subframe rebush, vanos, headers, cooling, suspension, etc.

PM for help in NorCal. Have a lot of specialty tools - vanos, pilot bearing puller, bushing press kit, valve adjustment, fcab, wheel bearing, engine support bar, etc.
