    Driver seat's height

    Hey,

Since I've had my M3 (2004 Vert, power seats), the driving position feels off. It's just too high (I'm also tall, 6'2), even when lowering the seat all the way down.

I wonder if anyone ever found a workaround for that issue for tall people?

    It'd be nice.

Manual seats sit lower than power by ~.75”.

aftermaket seats can be mounted lower but don’t work well with verts.

no sunroof adds ~1”, but doesn’t apply to verts.

Finding a manual vert seat is probably your only hope.

I have a slick top with stock power seats and still find it too high. Removing the sun visor helped immensely being able to see out but I'm still looking to do Negaros at some point.

The workaround I found (being 6'5) was getting a slicktop with manual, non-heated seats. So get the manual non-heated seats and you will be a bit lower

Fully agree with you. I'm only 6' and it's still too much...wish it dropped at least an inch or more further. I'm never seen any options besides going to a manual racing seat because the seat belt is integrated into the seat.

Thanks everyone for the good input. So yeah, seems like there's not magic remedy. The fact that indeed the seat belt is integrated into the seat is making all aftermarket options no-go.

Oh well. I guess I'll have to live with it and keep the top down!

I have the same issue being 6' 2". Slick top with power seats and sunroof. It's a PITA at the track...my seating position in order to fit with the helmet on is terrible for track driving ergonomics.

Seat heating doesn’t add any height.
