Top strut nut & rebound adjuster clearance for JRZs

Hi all, I'm running JRZ 2-way non-remotes with GC street camber plates. Overall very happy with the setup; however, the front top strut nuts barely clear the rebound adjusters. There are no issues with rebound adjustability but if the top nut were too loosen a bit it would likely come in contact with the rebound adjuster (1-2 threads clearance at the moment).

Is this a likely scenario? I do check them periodically between events but curious if other folks with similar setups have the same issue or general thoughts.

    Thanks in advance!

    That does not look correct.

I had those same struts with the GC race camber plates. You don't use *all* of the shims that came with the strut. I would call up ground control tomorrow to get that straightened out. If I recall correctly you only use the spacers that came with the GC plates, you don't use the spacers that shipped with the JRZ struts. Again I had the race plates so not sure how it changes but this is what I got back when I asked about assembly:

You are correct, the JRZ upper spring perch (black) is to be discarded since we are using the upgraded Ground Control camber plates. The red anodized upper spring perch from them is to be used instead.

JRZ provides a pair of "pintop bushings" for the front struts in the case a customer wants to use OEM tophats or the Ground Control Street camber plates. The Ground Control Race plates do NOT require them.

Last, Ground Control supplies gold 14mm spacers which are to be used. The two should be placed onto the shaft positioned under the camber plate.
The guys at ground control are awesome though. Just call them up tomorrow

Definitely looks too close. Like what eacmen posted, I used the provided 14mm spacers that came with GC camber plates, not the stainless spacers that came from JRZ. I have JRZ RS One and there is just a little bit of space between the adjuster knob and the top lock nut.

Thanks guys! Will check with GC and see what they say. They were pretty helpful in the past when I was trying to decide btwn their "race" or "street" plates. The shop that did the installation, which is pretty reputable in the broader NYC area is claiming that everything is fine with the setup, which defies logic.

What does caster looks like on the alignment sheet?

Get rid of that spacer. I had the same issue. Gc sent me a small bushing/metal sleeve you need the longer one.
