    What to do about A-Pillars

FCPEuro has a clearance this week on both A-pillars and driver side C-pillar. I will buy the C-pillar because I went a little heavy with glue in a small spot when I was fixing the loose fabric. While I will never see it because it is behind my head, I wanted it to be perfect.

I re-adhesived both A-pillars and they look really good in my opinion, I have a small fold at the very bottom of my passenger side one but really not too bad. Where I am at now is I could buy them on "clearance" at ~$82/ea and have the lifetime warranty on them and sell my current ones to re-coup most of the cost. Is it worth it for the state of mind? I'm not sure what the re-adhesived ones I have are worth, I was thinking maybe around $50/ea.

Wow that’s nice info about their clearance. It’s hard to say what you’d get used for yours.
But the A-pillar fabric has a tendency to fade color so if you have that buy the new ones. Plus the center cover strip is hard to recover. Which for the price of the two new it brings up option of having recovered in Alcantara (if you like that). But then you need it all done to match or it looks off. Which sounds like it would bother you too.

So it being on “clearance” brings up a new question. Is it still lifetime replacement/warranty? Heck if a part goes NLA what will they do then??

Not sure what happens when they go NLA. They say they will lifetime replace anything they sell, so I imagine despite and price change it’s there.

My current fabric is still OEM, just peeled off, new adhesive sprayed, and OEM laid back on. I’m not a fan of alcantara, really like OEM look and feel in the car keeping it more period correct.

Some 14 plus year old ones vs. new pristine ones on sale w/Lifetime warranty. Sounds like a no brainer.

I'd buy them too. Make sure you write to them asking what happens if you need to use the lifetime warranty and they no longer have them in stock at some point.

Just called and asked. If they do go NLA, they refund you for the price of the item (not sure if that was at the point of sale or not).

So if you buy it, then get 2 or 3 replacements, then for the 4th it's out of stock and NLA, they refund you the purchase cost? That's such a sweet deal, essentially a "free rental" lol

plus cost of shipping every time, which is minimal
