Loose HVAC vents

Is there any fix for the vents being loose? Every time I get in the car and the blower goes to anything over half speed to try and cool down the car, the vents automatically point down or up. Its not only annoying but I roast until everything cools down enough and the blower speed goes down.

On the e30 there is an oring mod that keeps the vents tight. Was wondering if there is any similar solutions before I either take them off to check or buy new vents.

Maybe one of my wife’s hair clip thingies does the trick. Will try Monday.

Happens to me too. I just deal with it and lower both windows down until it’s significantly cooler inside the car and have both vents pointing down so I can at least have some air.
