If you haven't bought it yet, you can get a better deal at FCP Euro https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...pe-51718232894

I bought it from here, no lifetime warranty but free shipping over $300 (FCPEuro is great, I bought a ton of stuff there, but I found a lot of stuff from Tischer now BMW of Silver Spring that are usually way cheaper).

From the photo, it looks like you have a RHD car so your part number will be 51718232896 (https://www.getbmwparts.com/oem-parts/bmw-cover-windshield-517185-51718232896)

To replace, although I am sure there are videos, here is a quick synopsis. From memory I do thing you need to remove the cabin air filter and it’s cover. Can’t remember if you need to take the whole box for it out too. Might be a bit easier and it’s only held in by 3 bolts.
              1. Place masking tape on the windshield marking the locations of each of your wiper blades. While not actually needed, it helps from having to adjust when putting back together,
              2. Remove decorative caps from wiper arm mounts
              3. Remove wiper arm mount nuts
              4. Remove wiper arms. This can be a bit tricky, I think I’ve heard of people using a puller for this? I just sort of leveraged the arm against the windshield (carefully) to provide some upward force on the mount. Then I wiggled it side to side to walk it off the mount.
              5. Remove the cowl. I don’t remember exactly how many pop clips there are, but it should be pretty easy to tell when looking at the new part.
              6. Clean the dirt under and repeat steps backwards.

you do not need to remove the hood.

If you go to the links you will also get the information for the preparatory work

It's pretty easy and it's a good time to change your wiper blades too. I always let mine get a little too old before changing.
