Is anyone on this forum the original owner of their M3? Or do you have any pictures of a E46 M3 on the showroom floor when new? Or even just have memories about the first time you saw a E46 M3? Saw a thread like this on the old forum and was fun to read through!

Ian's had two. I bought mine from the OG owner but that's near here nor there. There are a few, but it's rare. Sports cars usually exchange hands often sadly.2004 BMW ///M3 Carbon Black/Cinnamon 6MT

Original owner here with around 90,000 miles currently on the car. It was my daily until 2014. I had a 2000 323ci before the M3 which turned into a track car.

Itβs SMG so BMW replaced the pump twice for free and I had VT Motorworks relocate it recently. Transmission housing is still OG. It has a diffsonline 3-clutch diff but housing is OG.
I had subframe cracks so I had BMW fix that as well.. it was 2006 (?) and they replaced the entire trunk floor - it took a long time.
I have done rod bearings twice now. 95k by dealer and 170k by Ray/Skweakyklean
Compression test came out ok but my shop suggested to do a full check at the next rod bearing replacement (250k).
Cooling is a bit tough so during hot track days, I do gotta be aware of heat. I am switching to an efan and will replace the stock (original!) oil cooler. I have already done a full cooling system refresh and also doing 80/20 water. I may try going all water with water wetter and just flush more often.
