    Any original E46 M3 owners?

Is anyone on this forum the original owner of their M3? Or do you have any pictures of a E46 M3 on the showroom floor when new? Or even just have memories about the first time you saw a E46 M3? Saw a thread like this on the old forum and was fun to read through!

Ian's had two. I bought mine from the OG owner but that's near here nor there. There are a few, but it's rare. Sports cars usually exchange hands often sadly.

Original owner here with around 90,000 miles currently on the car. It was my daily until 2014. I had a 2000 323ci before the M3 which turned into a track car.

Original owner of my 2005 Silver Grey/Imola Red M3. Just turned over 61k miles and runs perfectly. Never been a DD but has been autocrossed since 2008 and tracked occasionally since 2015. Great car.

It's hard to believe come this December it'll be my 19th year of ownership. Remember it like it was yesterday seeing it delivered parked in my driveway. Wife had to get me outta bed...

Damn that's impressive! What major items have you had to replace throughout the course of ownership? Any items that are still original?

If you replace every part on the car can you be considered an original owner?

Just about everything except the engine itself lol.

It’s SMG so BMW replaced the pump twice for free and I had VT Motorworks relocate it recently. Transmission housing is still OG. It has a diffsonline 3-clutch diff but housing is OG.

I had subframe cracks so I had BMW fix that as well.. it was 2006 (?) and they replaced the entire trunk floor - it took a long time.

I have done rod bearings twice now. 95k by dealer and 170k by Ray/Skweakyklean

Compression test came out ok but my shop suggested to do a full check at the next rod bearing replacement (250k).

Cooling is a bit tough so during hot track days, I do gotta be aware of heat. I am switching to an efan and will replace the stock (original!) oil cooler. I have already done a full cooling system refresh and also doing 80/20 water. I may try going all water with water wetter and just flush more often.

LMAO I wonder if thats even possible. Buy every part new from the engine block down to the tail light gaskets and build yourself a new e46 m3 🀣
