    Rear ball joint replacement

Has anyone replaced their rear (upper and lower) ball joints lately? I’ve got the old ones out but trying to decide which is better to install first. I can see tearing the boots trying to maneuver the control arms into place.

I did both a couple of months ago. My rear end was completely off the car but I wasn't exactly gentle and there weren't any issues.

You just need to make sure you dont press on the inside of the bushing, which is the sleeve, and you'll be fine.

All jobs done as diy - clutch, rod bearings, rear subframe rebush, vanos, headers, cooling, suspension, etc.

PM for help in NorCal. Have a lot of specialty tools - vanos, pilot bearing puller, bushing press kit, valve adjustment, fcab, wheel bearing, engine support bar, etc.

Did you drop the RTAB to do the ball joints?
