    Anyone want a $5,000 E46 M3 track toy?

Saw this on Copart, it looks decent for the price. 219k miles and 6 speed, clean body and panel gaps look good. Looks like it was totaled due to Lemon Law.

If I were in the market for a track toy I'd pick this up and swap rod bearings, reinforce the RACP, and lock down the VANOS and call it a day. If its owned by an insurance company, I'm sure they'd accept a sub $5k offer.

California has the most powerful Lemon Law consumer protection, you would be surprised as to what I've seen while working at a Lemon Law firm in CA.

so how did this thing get lemoned? must have had some sort of an aftermarket warranty and BMW dealer failed to fix the problem?

Probably something along those lines, yes.

Took a second look and it looks lowered, has some sort of aftermarket intake, and has OE led tails too, not bad.

Auction— it’ll likely sell for more than $5000

It would be nice to not see it get parted out.

Pitch it to Speed Academy to do a proper S54 build vs their other jz swap.
