Here’s what it looks like, I think the structure is plenty solid.

The roof panel with the sunroof I believe has the brace already built into the roof panel.

I've sold a couple to spec46 guys so they have a roll cage.

There is an inner lip on the opening for the sunroof which I'd guess acts like a dimpled hole on a gusset. I think the weight of the sunroof cassette hanging from the roof would offset its stiffness improvement. And the sunroof mechanism isn't exactly a stout structural piece either.

A little off topic but this thread is long quiet anyway.

Did anyone consider the loss of rigidity when doing this? When you do a CF roof you weld a bar, but do y’all have roll bars or just removing the cassette without considering chassis rigidity ?

I used an S2R panel to make the mold and it fits just like the S2R panel. $325 shipped in the US.

FWIW there’s also a clear version of that same product. No black, which is unfortunate.

Hey Guys, I had a ton of work done on my car over the winter including a bunch of welding that I cannot do. A “while you were in there” thing I had done was a sunroof delete panel and removal of the headliner (because, well, track and a humongous dome) during their work. This is one of those things I kind of wish I had just

My point was and is, a lot of the people saving weight. Don't seem to care about their own weight. An example of this would be, an overweight person deleting their sunroof for weight savings. While they could have kept the sunroof and went on a diet. After they lose all the weight they can, start hacking up your car sure. Never before, imho. Imagine a fat F1 driver complaining about how much his car weighed, oh weight..

I had my lil girly inside, I'll ask her how level she was holding it. To be fair, I should have shared a picture with it fitted from the outside too.

Is that a gap between the panel and the opening? Looks massive or am I looking at it wrong?
