06 smg won't go into neutral

2006 SMG ZCP M3

Drove the car Monday and then it sat till Thursday. Went to start it up and battery was 100%dead. Tried to jump it but the car won't go into neutral. No COG just stays in first gear.
SMG pumps for 7-8 seconds. Gear indicator doesn't flash or change. Car in on a charger now.
any ideas?

Make sure hood is fully closed. Make sure foot is on the brake and parking brake is set.

Exactly , hood have to be closed in SMG cars.

Yeah I have made that mistake before but the gear ways flashed when ghe hood wasn't closed not its just solid.

Think your battery might be starting to go. Smg doesnt run well when the voltages start to get low
