    What casues an injector code?

What would cause an inpa code 33 cyl 4 injector code?

I have this code and a IGT code, along with a really crappy cold start condition. Once the o2s heat up and kick in the codes go away (I clear them and they won't come back till next coldstart).car runs like a dream once the 02s have heated up.

My question is what does the ECU see that causes it to throw an injector code?

Have you seen any misfires at cold startup before the car warms up and goes into closed loop on the cyl you are seeing the code for?

Have you compared long and short term fuel trims between the banks? Is the one with bad injector higher or lower? Can you also get a readout of injector pulse width (duration) to see how different the one that is throwing a code is from others?

On cold start you are running off predefined map, which expects the same flow/pulse width from all 6 injectors. If one is clogged and cant keep up with others or if it's stuck slightly open and outflows the others that can cause a deviation from the expected value on predefined map and a code.

Once the car warms up and is running off all sensors in closed loop adjusting for all inputs and o2 sensor voltage, then you get an adjustment of flow rate on the bad bank/injector that keeps it within expected range without causing the code. But you should be able to see this "adjustment" based on what I said above - pulse width and stft/ltft.

Is there a reason you have not replaced the injector? You are getting a specific code for the injector on a specific cylinder that also is giving you misfires. I’m not following your logic here. Did you already replace it and I missed it in your other post?
