confirming dsc pressure sensors are my problem

I've had the following 3 codes accompanied by the yellow traction control and brake light intermittently for years and I'm ready to get rid of them. I did a bunch of diagnosing on m3forum before I realized that the codes were under the chassis not the engine. 5E21 electrical sensor 2, 5E24 sensor 1/2 not plausible, 5E20 sensor 1 electrical. I just want to make sure that its the 2 pressure sensors that are causing those errors rather than the entire DSC unit.

I've read to stick with the oem dsc sensors, so they'll be $160 a piece from ecs. The DIY on m3forum, before it went down, mentioned a modified 27mm wench. Any links to another diy or tips on removal? Will do them 1 by one and attempt to do them quickly enough to not allow air in the lines to hopefully avoid a fully brake bleed. Seems like you can get away without removing anything else, if your ok with working in cramped spaces and maybe have a modified wrench to get in there.

Looking for the same diy. Seems like most online are euro models with the unit on the right side and has much more room. Cant figure out how to fit my hands in there

You can try and get the DME box out of the way.

That was my first idea too, but it looks like its not an easy feat. Is there a trick to it or a guide somewhere we can use?

See post two of this thread. I posted a good diy link.

Does anyone know/have a good diy to replacing the DSC pressure sensors thats underneath the brake fluid reservoir? I found a few online but all of them seem to be the type that has the unit on the right hand side with much more room for access. Mine is a 2005 US spec and its sitting cramped up against the ebox and no way to get

thanks that DIY is great. Ive seen the 50s kid youtube, but his 3 series is a bit different from the M3. Sounds like its similar enough to use the same method ...removing the bolts holding on the MC and turning it to the side to use a 27mm socket to remove the sensors. Ill check the sensors again with live data though inpa. Wasnt aware that was possible. Its been a bit over 2 years since Ive done the brake fluid, so if the new sensors are needed, ill drain it before i start.

Do you have both part numbers? I need to change mine.

34521164458 that sensor is used for both. ecs and bimmerworld have it for about 160 and fcp for 190.
