Quality black M3 badge - E46 size?

As the title says, looking for a quality badge for the rear trunk in black. There are a lot out there, eBay and such.

I know E36 and E90 were different sizes, don’t know if F80 (which I think had OEM black options) is the right size. I also believe matte black would look better than gloss black ... looking for the F80 OEM like look.

Any suggestions?

BMW makes an OEM black E46 one actually, I was actually looking it up on ECSTuning to link it for you, but strangely I cant find it now. Maybe it is discontinued, but I bought mine from them almost 3 years ago and is a genuine BMW one.

EDIT: was curious so looked up my past orders and found it for ya! Weird it doesnt show up with regular searching...

Dang you are correct, at the time I bought it ECS had it under E46 M3 listings. So I assumed it was for the E46. I see now they have it under the F80 in the fits these vehicles section, could swear that wasn't the case at the time I bought because I would have been hesitant for the same reasons as OP (size and fitment).

If it helps, the size is perfect and doesnt look out of place at all on my car. It seems to be nearly the same size as the factory chrome one.

You used quality and eBay in the same paragraph, you must be confused lol. Avoid Amazon/eBay if you want quality parts. F80 one (from BMW) looks good!

The F80 badge looks like a good substitute.
