What tune are you going with?

That feature is often used on catless cars. If you’re catless go for it. If not, don’t. Also, if you’re driving your car below zero degrees F, don’t delete it.

        I’d skip it then.

Honestly I’d wait on a tune until you go catless. You get way more benefit out of the tune and you can properly run no SAP.

Lol. But what if he never goes catless? Going catless ruins the car imo. Do it long enough and it permeates the interior, like being a smoker or air fresheners.

I installed Supersprint stepped headers and Supersprint cats in section 1. I also have supersprint sport muffler. I think I will go with cold start delete to keep it quiet but I am not sure about SAP delete

If your headers are catless I think you’ll be okay. Probably best if another person chimes in here. Might be best to confirm with both super sprint and evolve on this one.

While it’s easy to turn them off, keep in mind how strict/loose inspection might be in your county. Technically they should look for it during the visual inspection... but many don’t. So proceed at your own risk.

Do states in the US have inspection? I’ve only registered cars in Illinois. We only have a yearly smog check done exclusively through OBD2.

Its funny to see the guys faces when they smell my car but see me pass 😬

Only certain states smog cars in the US. We don't have to do that here in Nebraska. But even at that I'll always be keeping kitty kats on my M3, that smell doesn't belong in MY weekend cruiser.

Short of a race car or a stripped 100% track use car, I wouldn't go catless either. My car was catless when I bought it and I'm shopping for catted section 1s to throw on. It's gross.

I have headers and euro cats and ditched the SAP just to clean up the engine bay and save a few lbs of weight. I don’t see a downside.

I hear you there. Sometimes I wish I didn’t cry from fumes at a stoplight. Any performance downsides to having a catted sec1? Will sec 1 cats go bad from a catless header tune?

Depends on the section 1. Crappy cats add restrictions and fail quickly, good ones do not.

a burble/pop will fail them faster. Otherwise, should be fine.

I have supersprint cats 100 cpsi so I should be ok with SAP delete ? I drive my car whole year around in Midwest.
