    Hit a curb bent LCA, RTA?

    So, I hit a curb in my rear right wheel going sideways in an autocross event. Went to my alignment shop and it is out of place. i ran -1.5 camber w/ 0 toeand now its -0.5 and is toe'd in significantly. camber could not be corrected due to broken eccentric washer and toe is at .20 deg instead of 0. what suspension components would be damaged (rear trailing arm, lower control arm)? nothing looks bent. Anyone have a similar experience? alignment shop could not get it back into spec.

    Lower control arm/salad tong is most likely bent thus not allowing to gain more negative camber. Also check the inner bushing on that arm and the upper arm.

    The trailing arm itself is pretty stout. Hopefully the impact did not damage the rtab pocket or bent the bracket there which would explain problem correcting toe.

    All jobs done as diy - clutch, rod bearings, rear subframe rebush, vanos, headers, cooling, suspension, etc.

    PM for help in NorCal. Have a lot of specialty tools - vanos, pilot bearing puller, bushing press kit, valve adjustment, fcab, wheel bearing, engine support bar, etc.

      The lower lateral link on the affected side is probably bent.
      That's the reason why the factory uses these flimsy items, and not the rigid 3rd party items.
      If you are running poly or metal rtabs, then the rta may have been tweaked as well.
      Check the rtab mounting console for stress movement.

          Replace the bent lower lateral link, and the RTAB.
          Examine the limiters for any gouges.
          If the limiters or the RTA carrier cassette are damaged you may need to replace the rear trailing arm.
          The lower lateral link bends to help absorb the impact force that would bend the upper lateral link and the RTA.
