    Brey Krause Fitment Issue

I have cobra nogaro seats with BK side mounts bolted to OE bmw sliders. Perhaps I just have a shit set of Bk side mounts but the two holes in the back of the seat rails NEVER line up properly to the chassis mounts.

I first loosen the outer bolts which fasten the seat to the side plates then place the seat in the vehicle, dropping the rails into the two front studs, after that I have to brute force the rear of the seat rails to try and get them to line up to the chassis mounts. It's truly a pain in the ass and I constantly feel like I am going to strip the threads. Everyone speaks so highly of BK but my mounts are AWFUL. Anyone else experience these issues with BK plates or is it just me? Am i doing something wrong here?

You sure you have the right mounts for e46? I did not have that issue with ours fitment was spot on.

Maybe you swapped driver/passenger or left/right?

I have the R-9224 which are specifically for cobra seats. I have no issues with the fitment of the seat to side plates nor side plates to sliders. It’s when I drop in the entire assembly that the slider mounting holes do not want to line up to the chassis mounts.

Sorry have no experience with the OEM mounts just the direct to floor mounts. I'm sure BK could help you if you called them.

Do you have some photos of the issue?

            thanks for the reply.

yea I’ve spoke with an engineer from there & they confirmed that I am using/mounting the plates to the sliders properly. They did say it sometimes takes some budging to get the holes to line up as the tolerances are so large. I’ve properly mounted them before but I dread having to remove my seats solely because of this misalignment issue.

I don’t have pictures right now I just put the car away for the day. Basically if I start to thread in one of the rear bolts, the other slider clearance hole is atleast 15-25mm off from the threaded hole in the chassis.

Did you use any of those black spacers?

Post pics of your seat/mount/slider assembly? In case you used the wrong mount in the wrong location (since the 9224 comes with driver and passenger).

                  This.

Have you spacered it? Mount the rails first and then the seat to the rails and see if spacers will solve the issue or its a actual larger issue. Or just get the threads started on the side mounts to seat bolts, so its suuuuper loose, and see if you can mount the floor rails. Use spacers as needed.
