I removed the beauty cover today to find a bit of pooled oil in plug wells 5 and 6, however it appeared as if the leak originated further towards the intake side of the engine and ran down into the plug wells. The valve cover bolts in that area above (intake side) the plug wells seem like they may be the culprit, they looked a bit crusty, but not especially oily.
There was a film of oil on top of the pre-cat O2 sensor connections as well as sitting oil down around the the clips that secure the pre-cat O2 sensor connections.
The furthest oil towards the front of the vehicle was found on top of the oil separator, but it was just a very thin film.
My car is due for a valve adjustment and with that new seals will be installed but the fact that the O2 connections and even the rubber block at the back driver's side of the beauty cover have oil on them has me scratching my head slightly.
I wish I would have taken a few more photos, this one is not a great representation of what I am talking about. Also, I am not seeing any oil on the engine block, I am not losing oil to the point that it is noticeable and am quite tidy when pouring oil in.
