I have an ‘04 M3 with navigation. I installed aux before so makes sense that I know it has aux. Recently the radio module/unit in the trunk gave out so I replaced it with a different one that ended up not working. Replacement for the replacement came and radio worked again but the aux option no longer came up. Bought a genuine aux cable since the previous one was eBay thinking it gave out but the issue persists. I’ve checked all fuses, did battery reset and nothing worked. Anyone have any tips to make it work again or what I haven’t checked yet?

The radio module is probably the culprit. If you bought a replacement that comes from an earlier model (2002 and earlier??) then i believe it doesnt have the aux support.

The BM53 in my car supports AUX, while the one on my bench does not because of the HW revision. You can always get an AUX input through the CD Changer input (https://quidzel.com/aux/) or you can go wild and buy (one of my shamelessly plugged) BlueBus (https://www.bluebus.dev/) units
