Motegi wheels?

Hey guys was just looking for some possible wheels later on, and I had come actoss motegi... a name I haven’t heard since video games back in my childhood. Anywho, I was looking for a good lightweight wheel to run 17’s with meaty tires, and my first instinct was of course the ARC-8. With the canadian dollar being absolute shit right now i figured it would be in my best interest to hold off. However I was also thinking of OZ Superleggeras, and came across Motegi MR146 SS6. They look like superleggeras, weigh about the same as ARC-8’s and are around half the price. They have a good racing background as well so quality is there.

Anyone here run motegi’s or had experience with them?

I would check if they are simply cast or flow formed ( rotary formed, etc). Cast wheels will be heavy and not as strong. They are just for the bling factor

Flow formed is what apex uses to make their wheels, and is fairly common among manufacturers now. Theres forged too, but thats $$&
