    140amp voltage regulator

    Hey guys

Does anyone know if there is a 140amp voltage regulator with the same connector as in the pic attached:

As far as I know, voltage regulators don't care about the amps. There are 150A BMW alternators that use the same regulator. If you want 140A, you'll need a different alternator altogether.

With my recent issues they solved the issue when we tried a e92 m3 140amp regulator on the m3. Only issue now is of there is a battery issue I won’t get the light on.

Any new stock regulators should work if the original is bad. There is no reason you need 140A unit, and what is the rating for the old stock unit?

Again, the voltage regulator doesn't have much anything to do with amps. The same voltage regulator used on the E46 M3 is also used on alternators that range from 90A to 150A. The E92 M3 regulator may have fixed whatever problem you're having, but it's not because it's a "140A" regulator.

You could try 12317543917, which is normally found on late model E53 X5 3.0is. I don't know what's different with that regulator.
