People are doing some really cool things. I like the guy who mods Teslas on youtube. He just did an electric ATV conversion copying the one Tesla did with the cyber truck launch.

Dude, i am so in. The current EV crowd is butt ugly. There isnt one of them i like. Even the taycan is kind of meh, nevermind its way out of my range.

the tesla looks like the side profile of a buttplug. I cant unsee it. (Nothing against plugs, i just dont want to drive one). That car has amazing specs but i will not drive an ugly car. Its not happening. When the EV conversion game starts up with tuners that know what they are doing, we are going to see some amazing builds based on older frames and its gonna be the best. Imagine buying a totally beat Diablo for pennies on the dollar, then doing a conversion for less than the stupid brake computers cost.

Dawn of a new age and i am here for it!

I used to have one of the best E30 builds and it had an S50. An S54 or N54 in there would be insane.

Converting a S65 to a P65 (flat plane, etc...) and dumping it into the E46 m3.
No its not a P60, but it's as close to a GTR build as you can get. Not as much power as a S85 swap, but the handling would be amazing.

Second idea would be to get a 993 chassis and swap a 997 RS engine in that. Yes I know it's blasphemy to the air cooled sect, but it's a lightweight chassis with short wheelbase and a strong NA motor. And it's still a Mezger...

Sadly I don't have space or time to start either right now. That and I want to make other investments with my budget that actually have an ROI ;-)

Whatever. Track, street, half mile, just for fun. Anything.

EV is intriguing but still so new. Not sure there is much tuning opportunity because you cant change fuel, air, FI... But what the hell do I know lol.

None of these are ideal, but they are dreams I cook up in my head:
                      - Stripped down E34 M5 with a S85
                      - 2100lb E30 318is slicktop with a 300whp k-swap and DTM suspension changes
                      - E46 M3 that doesn't overheat on track

Built S54 and stick it in a 911 to really ruffle some feathers.

What about putting the gt3 flat-6 in an e46 to ruffle even MORE feathers

                            This.

A 9000rpm, 4.0L, flat 6 in an E46 sounds awesome. They're not very big so I think it could be pulled off. The trans would probably need to be custom.

A reliable 9000rpm S54 would make me the happiest man alive. I wonder what the weak point would be if rod bearings weren't the problem.
