Good shops in Midwest?

I may need to have the head pulled for a machining of a snapped manifold stud, I suppose worst case a new head could also be a possibility if things go terribly wrong.
I live in Lincoln Nebraska, we have one indy shop that I don't trust, the local BMW dealer has a bad reputation (maybe unreservedly) and my next closet is BMW of Omaha which says they have pulled S54 heads and can do it but I still have my reservations.

This car is my baby and a big part of my life, I've realized just how good I've had it with this vehicle until this incident and its just got me in a bad way. I so much as see an E46 rolling down the street and it makes me cringe and reminds me that mine is out of commission, I just love this damn car.

I am going to start looking for reputable shops in the surrounding states and just wondered if anyone happened to have any suggestions as I start this long process. Thanks for any help.

Touch base with Brad Perkins of Chicane Motorsports in Gardner, KS near Kansas City. I don't have first hand experience but he comes highly recommended by a couple people I've talked with at national level autocross events in Lincoln. He is PerkM3 on the old m3forum, races an E46 M3 and is extremely knowledgeable about these cars. I've corresponded with him several times and will be going to him for subframe reinforcement (he recommends the CMP products) and rod bearing replacement which is delayed due to covid. Definitely worth contacting him about the work you want/need done.

I live in KC and used Chicane to help me with my Evolve airbox install. Chicane actually just had their grand opening of their new shop today in Olathe KS. I went to check it out and it seems like a great space, the event had great support, and I think Brad will do well there.

I will likely be using them to help with subframe and bearing work this winter. I believe there are a number of E46 M3s that get their work done there.
