    Color Matched Sunroof Delete

Anyone running a color matched sunroof delete? If so any pictures?

Are you referring to the CF insert?

Not aware of anyone that has done it. Would be difficult to look like a slicktop since there is adhesive required which would not be color matched, you'd likely have to fill it, sand it and spray it to color match. I have seen some do vinyl wraps over the sunroof that looked good, but the car was fully wrapped with the same vinyl

Fiberglass or CF. I imagined it would look like this.

So basically just having it painted A08 to match the rest of the roof. There will obviously be the gaps but I figured it might look cleaner than leaving it CF or wrapping it and the roof black.

I did a vinyl wrap on the CF insert for my track car. Did a DIY - first wrap of anything I ever did. The specific adhesive is white, so there is no black line. A very good match

Dumb question, but do you need to get a sunroof-less headliner or can you rewrap the old one to cover the hole?

โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹ Non sunroof headliner is best IMO. I bought one for my sunroof delete.

Maybe I'm being a slicktop snob, but those sunroof panels, raw cf, painted, wrapped, whatever, they ain't fooling anybody. Looks like a sunroof with tint to me.

Meh, it's not like we're trying to fool anyone. The important bit is the weight reduction over your head, and seeing what options we have for how they look are secondary

This. If I could drop the cash on a 1x1 CF roof I would but it's just not in the cards for a while. Removing the weight is #1, head room(I'm 6'4") is second, and looks are 3rd.

in my E63 M6 I had a ton of head room with the Cf roof. My head literally scrubs the headliner and my seats are manual ha!

You dont 'need' one. Mine was like this. You can clear it for a better look.

I find it odd you modify your car for other people. But to each their own I guess.
