Pretty impressed the e46 can keep up with an m2 even just for a little bit. I wonder how it would hold up with an airbox, cams, headers, flywheel, 4.10 gears. Lol.

I'm pretty sure it'd win if it could get the same start. It'd probably have issues launching with all that added torque. This launch was pretty flawless.

Off topic, but I never see e92 in any of these comparisons. They sticking with the 6cyl only?

Cool comparison, but does anyone care anymore?
                  It's like comparing a 993 to a 991+, I don't care which is objectively better, I want the 993 in my garage.

I find it interesting, which is why I posted it. It's why Mat went to the trouble of making the video (& for clicks).

If you don't care, why are you in the thread posting about your not caring?

Does not compute. Therefore, we think you care a little bit. A little.

I thought I was just contributing to the discussion, sorry if it hurt your feelings. I did not know you created the video or were personally invested in it. IMO the E46 m3 is pretty much thoroughly cemented as a classic regardless of how it specs out objectively, just look at how bulbous and ugly the M2 looks in comparison, who would choose that given the option ?

I think its just morbid curiosity to see how well we can still hang with the modern series. And this video was quite surprising.. although we still have to account for the drivers skills and the modifications in the e46 e36.
But I get your point. We arent e46 m3 owners because it has the fastest numbers.

Fun video but why the m2 competition instead of the regular m2?
