    Spal Fan

    Hi All,

Just installed the spal fan to replace the clutch fan and the aux fan. I wired the spal fan into the oem aux fan controller so the fan comes on when it needs to. However, it came on at startup and don't recall the aux fan doing this. Does anyone else have a spal fan that is wired into the oem controller that does/not have this issue?

Well if anyone else comes across this issue, the solution is to plug the pressure sensor back into the harness. It’s located on one of the a/c lines.

Thanks for this info. I'll be wiring my mishimoto puller fan via the aux fan controller. I'll keep this in mind! TY!

From what I recall the AUX fan would also be on if A/C is switched on. I was using the connector included with my SPAL fan and recently discovered it had cracked and the pins arched melting the connector. I replaced it with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and couldn't be happier with the result. Looks OEM-ish and more durable.

I forgot to mention I had taken out the a/c. So without the sensor plugged in, the car thinks the a/c is on all the time. If you still have the air conditioning, you shouldn’t run into this problem. I didn’t have any issues with the spal connector; I just wired it to the oem fan controller.
