I'm Brad, checking in from Lexington, Kentucky. After a solid decade of watching the market, reading build journals, and waiting for the right moment, I've finally closed out a 10-year search and brought an E46 M3 home to the garage.
I've been obsessed with cars and grassroots motorsport for as long as I can remember, I’ve have/harCorvettes, GR86’s, Jeeps, RZRs, and even a motorcycle. But the E46 has always been the benchmark for me. Nothing quite matches the analog steering feel, the balance of the chassis, and the sound of an S54 winding out toward 8,000 RPM.
Now that the hunt is over, the real fun begins. My immediate focus is getting baseline maintenance sorted, addressing the big-three chassis/engine health items, and dialing in a functional square wheel setup for backroads and autocross.
It feels great to finally join NA M3 Forums as an owner rather than a spectator. Looking forward to learning from the community and sharing the journey as the build takes shape.
